Introduction
The Marvin Duchow Collection was donated by Marvin Duchow’s family to the Music Library of McGill University after his death in 1979. The Collection consists of Professor Duchow’s manuscript compositions and correspondence, as well as teaching materials compiled over the course of his long career.
The web-page devoted to the Marvin Duchow Collection includes biographical information, a list of Duchow’s manuscript compositions and
a database of his correspondence. Due to privacy and copyright restrictions, the complete database of correspondence (including detailed contents notes)
is password restricted. Every researcher may search the database and retrieve a brief display (author, addressee, year, and document type).
Access to the full database is granted, on a case-by-case basis, by the Head of the Marvin Duchow Music Library.
The Marvin Duchow Collection may be viewed, by appointment, Monday-Friday, 9-5.
